It's been a horrible week since I turned 21.
I'm terribly depressed and angry at myself.
I visited glenelg beach yesterday and stumbled on the most amazing sight ever.
It was exactly like the scene out of the movie!
The seagulls were perched on the rocks and with the sunset in the background.
I took a step closer for a really good photo on the rocks because I was so sua ku.
There was a sudden drop in depth, and I fell into the water with my phone in my hand.
Okay, not literally fell, just missed a step and there was like a brief second that my phone came into contact with the water. Which I immediately pulled my hands out.
But I think I didn't remove it from the cover fast enough only at dinner.
Then i wiped it.
Now, it just wouldn't charge.
Yes the battery is super duper fine, because its charging in sumei's phone now.
But when I plug it into the charger, it just wouldn't charge at all! I'm serious!

It pains me to know that I'm so distracted because of my phone.
I really wish it'll come back to life
It's currently soaking in rice, because of what we've seen in the internet, that it absorbs moisture.
But the fact that it can't charge pains me.
I paid $538 for this phone.
I am terribly upset.
I'm in a foreign land.
There's no Samsung Service Centre here in Adelaide.
It's my 2nd semester.
I'm missing out on amazing photos because this shit happened.

I HATE MYSELF RIGHT NOW.
TOTALLY HATE MYSELF.
I wish I could send the phone back immediately and then have it fixed at the service centre and for it to be sent back. OMG.

So well.
I turned 21 today.
Well technically yesterday.
So I'm terribly blessed to have such good people around me.
Well it's often difficult to show my utmost gratitude and I obviously think that even if I post it on fb or on here nobody would actually read it.
So firstly. I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and voices and audionotes and videos.
Technology has really made it easier to communicate with my lovelies and to the extent that it totally felt like they were just in the other room.
Although data-consuming, because of the varying uploads and downloads, it has come to stage in life that family and friends mean the world to you.
Well, that's especially so when you don't have to divert your attention to a bf or gf somewhere else huh!

So anyway, thanks for the youtube video my lovely sp clique.
I'm sure darth vader wouldn't come and kachao me and scare me till I cry.
Thanks for the wishes from my lovely spouse who wished me exactly at 0000hrs ADL time. Hurhurhur terribly touched. You were like the most accurate one huh, must have been watching the clock strike 2230 in SIN.
Mom was epic, I asked her at 0020 why she hadn't wished me yet, she told me the time difference between ADL and SIN was 1 hr and that she still had time. LOL EPIC. Well mom, it's 1.5hrs btw and then immediately she vibered and skyped me all at the same time.
Gran sends her wishes via audio note, and kujie, mama, yeye via skype later on in the day.

The annoying whiny Gladys Lim: apparently contacted by my mom. She has tirelessly planned the day for me, from the beginning of preparation, to the location for dinner and to the baking of the savoury cake. She keeps scolding me and spewing tonnes of vulgarities for me, but she has really worked damn hard for this day to come. Thank you so much aunty gladys. Don't let me get all mushy on you. Yuck. Thanks for working with mom so that I can skype my mama and yeye and granny all in the same place at the same time.

Jess, JM, YX, Grace & De Sheng for the lovely homecooked meal. ROJAK by JM hahahaha the story of the salty rojak but she made it with much love, and tea egg by YX and chicken rice and chryst tea by Jess and Salmon (damn $$$) by De Sheng: he wanted to cook a masterchef cuisine for me and I seriously thought he was kidding. Thanks guyz!

Peyying, Gabby, Evelyn, Karryn, Kai Yi and Lee Son Fei, for gracing the steamboat occasion at py's house. For buying fishballs and feeding me with lots of watercress and tofu and tofu puff. ZOMG I LOVE TOFU.
The fabulous "shou pao" made its first appearance that night. Wonderful moscato as well.
