Need to confirm my leave...
Tuesday, October 02, 2012 @ 9:25 pm
Am I the only one getting excited about the Haji weekend? I wish things could be confirmed somehow, we're really running out of time. The bus schedule is full and really packed, and to make things even worse, don't even know if our little trip is on.
Colleagues are taking leave like its free, tomorrow when I'm back in the office, I'll just write my leave as and when I feel like it. Morever I'm a temp staff, why the heck should I care so much if they're short-handed or what. They can handle it anyway. They will have to, without me eventually. Anyway, as of now, they said they're extending my contract, but I haven't received any form of extension of contract, so I signed till 20th Oct, technically. I don't really have to indicate my leave until I'm confirmed for the rest of the year.
Hospital ah hospital. Why you do things so slow. And let my leave priveleges get so confusing. ARGH
This is the start...

I'm back from a long long time.
I've decided to post something just off and on from now because I suddenly feel that my standard of english is getting below par.
So in the past few months after graduation, I've secured a place at Flinders University, Adelaide South Australia for the 2013 intake of Nutrition & Dietetics. It's truly a dream come true for me because it's been the most talked about university that my lecturers have mentioned and this and that during our time in polytechnic.
I've been to the beautiful land of Turkey this year, and I'm really excited for another holiday. Work has been rather kind to me. With colleagues that love the hell out of me. Getting fat at work will be the norm at the rate my colleagues feed me. Sometimes I wonder why I get alot of food as gifts, and it did ever cross my mind that I should get something in return for them, but being the stingy me. I guess I rather help them out with things that I can handle like doing more CSC charges and what not.
Over the past few months, many people have left the country. Both Marie & Yin San now reside overseas as they embark on their journey to further their studies in Arts and Optometry respectively. Being "left" in Singapore as we call it, can be rather depressing, especially when you know your clique of friends will slowly get smaller and smaller. Sometimes I can't help but wonder whether we would still make the effort to stay in touch in the many years to come. It's understandable that we'll all start to drift apart when the time comes.
However, I do hope that to all my friends out that. You've really made a great impact in my life, and it'll be really awesome if we could still meet regularly and like 10 years down the road, reminisce about the times we spent when we were younger. YES THE BIG 2, I welcomed it exactly a month ago in the presence of precious family members and my other loved ones. Still remembering it to this day.
Gosh, I hope my mom doesn't read my blog post. I don't want her to. I rather keep things all to myself.
I've been saying " you all will miss me for 3 years, doing this and that to you". Yes but in actual fact, I think I'll be the one to miss everything here in Singapore. I'll have to do everything myself over there in a foreign land. With people that are pretentious and fake and OKAY I WILL BE POSITIVE ABOUT IT and see what kind of people I meet over there next year. In the mean time, NO JUDGING, I promise.
I've been promised some kind of extension of my contract till the end of the year. Busy planning my trips with friends. *burn hole in pocket* Recently, been spending excessively and without much thought because I think I have money in the bank (which I really do not), making it up to my bank account by bringing food to work for lunch this week and still spending it on weekends. A classic exact example of "penny wise, pound foolish".
